Favorite Episode

In this area I'll talk about my all-time favorite episode. I'll try to explain why I think it's the best and why it's important to me personally.

Star Wars Episode 1 : The Phantom Menace

episode1.jpg

Description:
Set thirty years before the original STAR WARS film, Episode 1 introduces young Anikan Skywalker, a boy with special powers, unaware that the journey he is beginning will transform him into the evil Darth Vader. Obi-Wan Kenobi, the wise old Jedi from the original series, is a setermined young apprentice and Palpetine, well known as the evil Emperor, is an ambitious Senator in the Galactic Republic. It is a time when the Jedi Knights are the guardians of peace in a turbulent galaxy and a young Queen fight to save her people. In the shadows lurks an evil force waiting for the right moment to strike.

Comments:
This is definately one of George Lucas's lamest movies. The reason for me saying so is because of extremely annoying characters(Jar Jar Binks) and horrible acting by no-namers.

Grade (on a scale of 10): 6

Star Wars Episode 2 : Attack of the Clones

attack-of-the-clones.jpg

Description:
Set ten years after the events of "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace," not only has the galaxy undergone significant change, but so have our familiar heroes Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme Amidala, and Anakin Skywalker, as they are thrown together again for the first time since the Trade Federation invasion of Naboo. Anakin has grown into the accomplished Jedi apprentice of Obi-Wan, who himself has transitioned from student to teacher. The two Jedi are assigned to protect Padme whose life is threatened by a faction of political separatists. As relationships form and powerful forces collide, these heroes face choices that will impact not only their own fates, but also the destiny of the Republic.

Comments:
This movie is not as bad as Episode 1, but with the presence of Hayden Christiansen, the acting is still bad.

Grade (on a scale of 10):7

Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith

Description:
In this final installment of the prequel trilogy, the Clone Wars have raged for two years. The galaxy is divided between Count Dooku's Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Republic, which is led by Chancellor Palpatine. In the political unrest, Palpatine schemes to end the Jedi order, dissolve the Republic and declare himself Emperor of the Galactic Empire, using his clone army and Sith Warriors to do so. Lured by the power offered by Palpatine, Anakin draws closer to the Dark Side. To complicate matters, he and Padme are parents to twins -- Luke and Leia. Fearful of Anakin's turn to the Dark Side, Obi-Wan confronts his former student, trying to dissuade him from joining ranks with the Sith. Obi-Wan and Anakin face each other in a duel -- leaving Anakin wounded and presumed dead. Palpatine seizes the opportunity and takes the injured Jedi under his wing. Using technology to heal Anakin, Palpatine creates a new and powerful Sith warrior -- Darth Vader. With Vader at his side, Palpatine lays waste to the Jedis and Dooku's army and creates the new Empire. Now, Obi-Wan and the last remaining Jedis must rally to save Princess Padme and the twins (who have been separated to be raised unaware of each other's existence) in hopes that someday the next generation will lead a revolution to unseat Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine.

Comments:
This is probably the best movie in the Prequel trilogy with the dramatic change in Hadyn Christiansen's acting. It also has the best script too.

Grade (On a scale of 10):9

Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope

anewhope.jpg

Description:
In a distant galaxy, a long time ago, young Luke Skywalker assembles his motley crew of allies including space rogue Han Solo and two droids -- C3PO and R2D2 -- to rescue Princess Leia, the rebel leader of her planet from the clutches of the evil Empire as embodied by its enforcer Darth Vader.

Comments:
A New Hope is the bestest of the best according to Star Wars movies with lovable characters and superb acting.

Grade (On a scale of 10):10

Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back

empirestrikesback.jpg

Description:
Luke Skywalker and his loyal band team up to do battle with Empire's forces who decide to enact revenge. Yet, Luke is empowered by the Jedi master Yoda in learning to master the Force, something he will need when he meets Darth Vader in a startling confrontation.

Comments:
Having many of the same characters as episode 4 and an addition of new ones, Episode 5 is almost as good as 'Hope'.

Gade(On a scale of 10):9.5

Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi

returnofthejedi.jpg

Description:
Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian and their small army of friends rescue Han Solo from the clutches of the menacingly ugly Jabba the Hutt and go on to do battle with the Empire, even after Darth Vader has broken off in his own rebellion.

Comments:
This installment is a good ending to the saga and is jammed with action sequences.
